How do I start a chat?
On the homepage, confirm you are 18 or older and tap Start chatting. Interest tags are optional. There is no account.
Why is it taking long to match?
You are paired with someone else who is waiting. If nobody is in the line, the search keeps going until there is. A shared interest tag is preferred when both people set one.
Can I be identified?
The random chat does not ask for a name, email, or phone number. The service keeps a session token and a one-way hash of the network address for rate limits and bans. The other person sees what you type.
What happens to my messages?
Random-chat messages are queued only long enough to deliver, then removed. Whispar does not keep a transcript of those chats. The slower feeling-based chat is a separate path and is not saved as a public post.
I had a bad experience. What can I do?
Open More in the chat header and use Report or Block. Next ends the chat and looks for someone else. Email safety@xeres.tech for anything that needs a person.
Is there another way to be matched?
Yes. The start page still takes a short note about how you feel and looks for a slower match. The homepage button is the instant text chat.
Is WHISPAR free?
Yes. There is no account and no paid tier required to start a chat.
