Whispar
Anonymous chat, with the limits written down
Anonymous here means you are not asked for a name, email, or phone number. It does not mean the service is invisible to abuse controls.
The link has a code. A badge stays on the visitor's device if they start a chat. We don't store who invited whom.
What the other person receives
They receive the text you send, a typing indicator, and any optional hint you turned on before the chat. A nickname saved on your device is shown only if you set one. Otherwise the header says Stranger.
What the server keeps
A random session token lives in your browser. A one-way hash of the network address is used for rate limits and bans. Interest tags ride with the session so a shared tag can be preferred. Random-chat text is queued until it is delivered, then removed. There is no transcript to download later.
What anonymous does not cover
Report and block still work. Repeated reports can disconnect a session. Do not send a phone number, a full name, or anything you would not want a stranger to have for the length of the chat.
Questions
Can I be identified from the chat?
Whispar does not collect an account. The other person only sees what you type and any hint you chose to share. The service itself keeps a session and a hashed address for limits and bans.
Are old chats searchable?
No. Delivered random-chat messages are not kept as a transcript.
