Whispar

Private means one pair, not a saved diary

Nobody else is in the thread. That is the privacy Whispar actually offers. It is not an encrypted notebook you can reopen next week.

Start chatting

The link has a code. A badge stays on the visitor's device if they start a chat. We don't store who invited whom.

Who can see the messages

The two people in the chat, for as long as the messages are being delivered. They are not posted to a profile, a blog, or a public card unless you deliberately use a separate share feature outside this random chat.

Who cannot pull them up later

You cannot. There is no history page for random chats. When the queue has delivered a message, it is removed. If you needed a record, this is the wrong tool.

Hints are opt-in

A country or interest hint is sent only if you check the box. The site does not guess a country from your network. Leave the box off and the other person does not get that hint.

Questions

Is the chat end-to-end encrypted?

No. Treat it as a private thread on a server that delivers messages and then drops them, not as a sealed vault.

Can a moderator read a live chat?

The product does not offer a public gallery of chats. Reports are the path for abuse, and a report includes the reason you choose.
