Quiet on purpose
The chat does not play a sound, buzz, or throw confetti unless you turn cues on. A calm thread is the default, not a mode you have to earn.
The link has a code. A badge stays on the visitor's device if they start a chat. We don't store who invited whom.
What stays quiet
Sound and vibration stay off until you enable them in Settings. There is no streak guilt if you miss a day. The tally of chats on this device is a private note, not a public score.
Prompts you can ignore
While you search, a line may suggest an opener. It rotates. It is not information about the person you are about to meet. You can type something else, or nothing yet.
Pace
You can reply slowly. The other person may leave, and that is allowed for them too. If you want a longer talk, say so in the thread. The product will not lock either of you in.
Questions
How do I keep the phone from buzzing?
Leave sound off. That is the default. Settings is where it would be turned on.
Are the searching hints about my match?
No. They are generic prompts. The only facts about the match are the ones the chat states after you are paired.
