Whispar
The next-button format, without a camera
Chatroulette made “next stranger” familiar, and it did that with video. Whispar keeps the skip and drops the camera. It is a separate product and is not affiliated with Chatroulette.
The link has a code. A badge stays on the visitor's device if they start a chat. We don't store who invited whom.
What is similar
You meet one stranger. When you want someone else, you skip. You do not build a profile or wait for a friend request to be accepted.
What is different
There is no video and no microphone. The browser is not asked for a camera. The page at /video-chat does not open a call. It sends you back to the text homepage. Interest tags are optional, and an 18+ confirmation sits in front of the first chat.
What we will not imply
A text chat is not a safer version of a webcam site by magic. People can still be rude. Report, block, and the message filter are tools, not a guarantee. We also do not publish a ranking against Chatroulette or anyone else.
Questions
Can I turn video on?
No. Whispar is text only.
Is this Chatroulette?
No. The skip-to-the-next-person shape is similar. The company, the product, and the lack of video are not.
