The link has a code. A badge stays on the visitor's device if they start a chat. We don't store who invited whom.
What you actually get
An 18+ age gate, interest tags, a typing indicator, report and block, a profanity and spam filter, and rate limits. Chat is text only. There is also an older, slower path that matches from a short note about how you feel, if you want that instead of a random pair.
What we will not claim
Whispar does not publish a ranking, a review score, or a user count it did not measure. If the live count cannot be loaded, the page leaves it out rather than substituting a number.
Safety limits
This is a filter and a report button, not a promise that every conversation will be kind. You can leave any chat immediately. Repeated reports against a session disconnect it. Sexual content involving minors is banned.
